Spiritual tools for the Human Journey

Hello friends,
We’ve covered the first two important tools of Discernment and Grace.
Finally, we’ve come to the best tool that brings us joy, but others too.
Expression.
With the wisdom of discernment and the balance of grace, we give ourselves the gift of expression.
I know, I know… it sounds very wishy washy. You may think that you express yourself constantly, but do you truly?
Expression: an act, process or instance of representing or conveying in words or some other medium.
To give yourself the gift of authentic expression is truly a liberating and joyful act.
Putting into words what you feel, giving an emotion or idea a 3D energy is incredibly powerful but something that we constantly overlook and underestimate.
There are multiple ways in which we can express ourselves and I personally find the most powerful and effective means of expression for me, is to create various forms of artwork.
Whilst the written word can be an excellent means of expression, there are times in which words cannot express or contain the emotion one may be feeling.
When I’m feeling overwhelmed by emotions, I find that painting with water colours can help to channel the feelings that I have inside of me.
Mere words often fall short of what I’m feeling but seeing my feelings expressed in a third dimensional way helps me to process what is energetically stagnant or stuck inside of me.
There are times when I’m overwhelmed and cannot possibly find it in myself to express anything, so what helps me enormously in those times is to go and see what other magnificent humans have expressed. Be it a gallery, a book, a record or simply a beautiful landscape that has been expressed by none other than the creator itself.
We can find healing and comfort whilst bearing witness to another’s expression in the world. It is why expression is so vital to the human experience.
What you express, what you create, heals not only you but also others.
It is truly a tragedy that humans are not taught how to do this for themselves as a regular practice.
Expressing your feelings in your chosen medium is part of your medicine.
A beautiful process that enriches the world for the better.
Connecting with this expressive, creative part of yourself is a sacred way to honour both spirit and yourself.
So there you have it my friends, the final and most important tool for your spiritual journey.
To recap, we have:
Discernment – finding the truth of a matter
Grace – knowing when to forgive others and most importantly, yourself
Expression – bringing your energetic presence into the third dimension
Wherever your journey takes you, just know that although it may be difficult at times, every little bump along the way will be well worth the effort.
Like a blacksmith honing a blade, over and over again, you will eventually learn to love the process and welcome each turn along the way.
The greatest journey you will ever embark on is the one that lies inside of you.
Go out there gently friends,
Big love xxx
